Chris Mills & Jacky Harris, UK
My partner and I visited Corbett in January 2002 towards the end of a two-week birding trip to Northern India. We had three days at the Camp Forktail Creek at Corbett, with the people at Wild World India who provided excellent camping accommodation, food and guiding.

India, with its scenic valleys, rugged mountains, lush forests, meadows and the snowy domain of the Himalayas, offers various trekking options. We have structured our treks in such a way that you go through India's less-known national parks and forests for an in-depth understanding of local flora and fauna. Be it exotic destinations or offbeat trekking routes, we offer you a chance to explore India like you never have.

In the North-East, explore Namdapha on foot, walk along the Rhododendron Trail in Arunachal, trek along the Singalila range and discover nearly 4000 flowering species of the Eastern Himalayas. In Himachal, trek over the scenic Pin Parvati Pass to Pin Valley National Park, marvel at the altitudinal variation of the Great Himalayan National Park and see endemics like Western Tragopan and Himalayan Brown Bear. In the Kumaon and Garhwal region of the Western Himalayas, witness the explosion of colours at the World Heritage Valley of Flowers and see flamboyant pheasants and other exotic high altitude species of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary and Gangotri National Park, where a glacial trek takes you to the source of India's most sacred river. Ladakh, with its cold desert and glacial treks offers the adventure of the elusive Snow Leopard and Hemis High Altitude National Park. The Western Ghats in South India, with its lush vegetation, rolling hills and moderate weather makes it ideal for walkers. It offers a chance to walk through India's first Biosphere Reserve, see its 141 endemic species of birds and scale Anai Mudi, the highest peak south of the Himalayas.

Our experienced team of nature guides, camp attendants, kitchen staff and porters will ensure you a comfortable, safe and enriching adventure. Our naturalists will acquaint you with the ecology of the place, mesmerize you with some of the most amazing facts while they unravel its rich history and culture. Depending on your age, fitness and area of interest, we'll customize a trek that's just right for you.
