Chris Mills & Jacky Harris, UK
My partner and I visited Corbett in January 2002 towards the end of a two-week birding trip to Northern India. We had three days at the Camp Forktail Creek at Corbett, with the people at Wild World India who provided excellent camping accommodation, food and guiding.

Corbett National Park Tour Details

04 Nights/ 05 Days by road
01 Night in New Delhi- 03 Nights in Corbett

The highlight of this tour is a two night's stay inside India's first national park.

Corbett National Park

Corbett not only has the glory of being India's oldest and most reputed national park, it is also the place where Project Tiger was first launched. An interesting aspect of Corbett is that it offers one of those rare opportunities where you can actually stay inside the heart of the park; a true experience any wildlife enthusiast craves for.

You can explore this park by open jeeps and elephants, the other good way to watch wildlife without disturbing its denizens are from watchtowers, built next to the forest rest houses inside the park.

Some other activities at Corbett include treks on the periphery of the Tiger Reserve that retraces the footprints of Jim Corbett where he followed the 'Maneater of Mohan' (a man eating tiger). If you are an angler, you certainly shouldn't miss the Mahseer fishing experience in the Ramganga river.
