Introduction: Corbett not only has the glory of being India's oldest and most reputed national park, Corbett is also the place where Project Tiger was first launched. Corbett is one of the few tiger reserves that permit overnight stays in the heart of the national park. Wildlife safaris are done in open 4 wheel drives and on elephant back, though another way to observe wildlife is from watchtowers, built next to the forest rest houses. Corbett has a high tiger density, is the northernmost extend of the Asian elephant and home to rare species like otters and the endemic fish eating crocodile – the Gharial.

Dhikala, the heart of the Corbett national park, is the most popular destination in Corbett because of the sheer abundance of wildlife present here and its superb location. The huge expanse of lush grasslands is where the Ramganga drains itself into a massive 100 sq km reservoir. These grasslands are surrounded by the lush Shivalik ridges and interspersed by the foothills of the Himalayas. Elephants are the dominant mammals in Corbett, but even they are dwarfed by the overwhelming landscape. Massive herds of deer, wild boars, lesser cats reside here and this region of Corbett national park harbours the highest density of tigers anywhere in the world. Dhikala is also a good place to look for birds of prey, over 50 species of raptors alone reflect on the rich bio-diversity of the area.

We will cover diverse habitats of the Corbett national park with the added privilege of exploring the forest on foot around Bhakrakot (something not permitted inside the National Park). Situated in the midst of a dense Sal forest on the north-eastern periphery of Corbett, walks in the surrounding forests of the camp offer spectacular birding and occasional sighting of animals on foot.

Day 01 - Delhi to Corbett National Park
Drive from Delhi to Corbett by surface (270 km/5 hrs) and transfer to Camp. Hike into the surrounding forest to explore prime wildlife habitats on foot and look for mammals and birds. Pugmarks of Tigers and leopards reveal their movement patterns. Bird lovers will be enchanted with a large number of raptors and owls. Forktails, Hornbills, Woodpeckers, Dippers and the enigmatic Wallcreeper are fairly common at this stretch of the forests. Later in the evening our naturalist would brief you about the tour and acquaint you with the park by the campfire. Overnight at Camp

Day 02 - Bijrani Zone (Corbett)
After a hot cup of tea or coffee we will head out for a full day safari and elephant rides into the Bijrani range of the Corbett national park. Breakfast and Lunch is served at the Bijrani Forest Rest House. We return to the camp by sun down. Overnight at Camp

Day 03 - Camp to Dhikala Zone (Corbett)
We will depart for Dhikala early with packed meals. Dhikala has always been the most popular destination in Corbett because of the sheer abundance of wildlife present here and it’s awesome location of being perched up above the banks of the Ramganga River that provides fantastic views on every direction. The huge expanse of these lush grasslands is where the Ramganga drains itself into a massive 100 sq km reservoir. These grasslands are surrounded by the lush Shivalik ridges and interspersed by the Himalayan foothills. Day 04 - Dhikala Zone (Corbett)
Dhikala has been renovated in 2006 and has clean accommodation with attached facilities. A multi-cuisine vegetarian restaurant, well-stocked library and elephant rides make it the preferred stop for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. Massive herds of deer, wild boars, lesser cats reside here and this region boasts of undoubtedly the highest Tiger density anywhere in the world. Scanning through your binoculars along the river and the edge of the lake would reveal numerous Marsh crocodiles, the fish eating Gharial crocodiles and perhaps a group of Otters. Sharing their habitat are various waders storks, herons, sandpipers, plovers, ducks, geese, and raptors like Ospreys and Fish Eagles. Wildlife documentaries are featured every evening under a thatch at the campus. Overnight at Dhikala Forest Rest House

Day 05 - Depart Dhikala - Delhi 
Morning safari into the surrounding forest and depart by surface for Ramnagar stopping at vantage points. Later drive onwards to Delhi
